life ain't a box of rochers~
i slept at 3+ am last nite. i cannot rmb the time but the last time i got up in frustration and checked, it was nearly 3 am. and i had to wake up at 6am today sObx sOBx..
i did anyway guess cOs it's my 1st exam...my brain couldn't shut off and i was wide-eyed all the way~
gahH. I expected the JS paper to be like this.. I underestimated it! OMG. turns out the only thing we've been consistently studying is not enough! I need a week is needed to read in depth unfortunately i dun have a week boOhoO.
then i tot of my very bleak future.. The major i'm going to eventually take (right nOw is sOci for practical purposes) and i'm going to have a minOr.. but there're different modules allocated for minOr & majOr..tough. Hoping to coincide minor modules wif major mods for sOci next sem soO tt i can decide the sem after whehter to take as minor/ major, then my mOdules won't be wasted.
Am considering CNM; the third interest i have after psy and sOci but i haven take level 1000 module yet due to the rather high demand~ If i'm going to have a minor ( and insist on it), i can only choOSe to take either CNM or PSy next sem..
if only life is a box of rochers! wrapped in gold on the outside, crunchy in the centre, smoOth and chocolatey inside~

ohoh yea i'm supposed 2 b studying but i feel slack today (but i did put in a couple of hrs revising the topics before mid term test!) soO i dunno whehter tt's considered slack.. but then again, i caught 2 eps of coffee prince (and of course jumong on tv =) )that after tt show, i dun feel doing any hwk cOs my mind was still hyped up over that ep and the ep after that tt i'm gonna watch tml at 6.40pm
OMG. i've never felt so much for a drama... I bet it's already 30+ eps and i'm still liking every min of it (except for the 1st ep, i was apprehensive about it, afraid it's some boring thing...)

arghX life.
arghx. what am i doing here? why is it that my body clock is completely upset? i yearn to sleep at 12 and wake up early... but now i end up sleeping at 2+ and i can't get up until 12noOn.
it's great sleeping in in the mornings but terrible at the thought of 'laziness' the time wasted in the morning that could've been spent studying but that never happened since sec skoO days...
life used to be almost dreamy & blissful.. but nOw i felt i've been thrown into confusion & immense preparation but i dun seem to look the part. i guess the monotony of life is back again like an evil being slowly consuming the light & engulfing me in darkness but i refused to be engulfed yet time and again, i helplessly fall into its trap
time and again we repeat the same mistakes time and again we regret and look back in the past time and again we resolve to start anew but end up almost back to where we are
time and again and again we're running our lives in circles back to "oh that feeling" and then up then down, up and down like the heart rate machine so only when it's a horizontal line our lives are pronounced dead
henceforth! keep it going, be it up or down never in a horizontal straight line though we want things to remain blissfully status quo but never stop keep it going until the line refuses to bend anymore.

on a different note, my only ultimate joy in now life is being able to watch ch 55 6.40pm korean drama! hahas. it's my favourite show of the year!

mummy's bdae dinner~
by right i shld be studying my South Asia at this time.. BUT...i'll just take a few mins tO blOg 1st..heEx..
went tO eat @ Kuriya Jap Restaurant for my mum's bdae dinner on sat.. dey're offering the seasonal catch: Puffer fish (Fugu)
hmM..the fugu meat is translucent white & it's hard when u bite it (u can say it's 'crunchy') but i still like the other sashimi best! Fugu sashimi seems 2 b slightly tasteless~ dey have a sour soy sauce (mixed with lime & lemon i guess) & chilli garnish (like thai chilli sauce) & spring onion garnish (for the soy sauce) to go with the fish~
Here are the pics: <--- Fugu appetizer: Fugu (transparent white strips) salad mixed with the soy sauce & chilli Ratings: 8./10 Extremely appetizing & refreshing!
<--- Fugu Sashimi: OMG G..one would have tot tt's a layer of plastic covering the plate! Ratings: 8.5/10 Fresh, succulent & mark the skill! Only the sharpest knife produce such slices~~
<--- Panfried fugu: Ratings: 8/10 All fried things taste good! Goes well with the lemon juice and the green pepper + those white fried mushroOm like stuff! Look at the huge amt of chilli red mountain on the right)
<--- Ingredients for Fugu hotpot:MushroOms, Veges, tofu cubes, fugu (in front) bones (for soup stock) + meat + 'muah chee' Ratings: 6.8/10 Tasty at first but get kind of sick of it (toO many veg, toO lil fugu!)
<--- Porridge: Orginally the waitress came with a bowl of striped seaweed & spring onion, rice & 2 eggs. She coOked the rice and beat the eggs in the fugu hotpot soup stock (after we've finished wif our mini steambOat) & serve this is porridge~ Ratings: 7.5/10 Surprisngly tasty! A small bowl, yet i feel extremely full after this.
Unfortunately, there's no fugu dessert (phew!)
Coloured my hair today~ Dyed a copper brown...Wanted smth red but was advised tt red & curly hair dun match + permed hair carn bring out the highlights..soO i ended up doing my whole head~

my most fruitful tutorial
just wanna add some stuff after reading Jade's blog & visiting the link top 10 tips for college students.
i feel that out of my 5 tutorials, the best is japanese studies. I like its format: Do your reaction paper over the weekend (if need to), come to class, we'll spilt into our groups & discuss qns set by tutor..and usually these qns cover the basics..then each group to say out aloud their points/ views & others can add on /rebutt.
Surprisingly, the tutor's able to keep to the time frame & get all his things done..and i have really nice group mates. The thing abt my js tutorial unlike the others is i completed all my readings and able to remember what the readings mention..
There was a point the author makes about learning ur stuff the moment u had ur lecture instead of waiting it till the final moments.. JS did that for me becos of its rxn papers & the way the tutorials are held.. as a result, i'm 'forced' to write, 'forced' to come up with my own opinions the subject, 'made' to read the readings & 'compelled' to discussion..
i used such words cos i know without the JS rxn papers and tutorial format, all these things wouldn't be done. HEY and nt that the lectures are interesting hahas...in fact i learn more thru readings & tutorials than lectures.

1 more week to term ends!
phew! only had chance to blog today... was doing my 4 assignments for the past few days~
Monday's lit lect had the highest ratings of all the lit lect i attended sO far.. it was on Oedipus Rex and we watched 3-4 versions of Oedipus Rex.. OMG. damn funny... Btw, the story of Oedipus Rex is that Oedipus ran away frm home because he heard of his prophecy that he will kill his father & marry his mother.. sO he came upon the city of Thebes where he solved the Sphinx and rescued the town..became king & married the queen (the previous king died tt's y the Sphinx took over) However, he didn't noe he actually belonged to Thebes. His parents sent him away to have him killed when he was young becos the oracle told them their son will murder the father & wed the mother..sO it came true! The reason he ended up in another country was becos the shepherd couldn't bear to kill a baby and hence gave him away~
It was the part when the blind prophet comes and tells him he's the one who killed his own father when he wanted to investigate the murder of the prev king. Funny bits: 1st version: the pple in the play spoke in a monotonous voice & dey shoot off like a machine gun hahhas...It was terrible when they have a speech of like 15 lines..make us luff even harder
2nd version: very modern but it looks like it took place in Heaven..jus tt everytime Oedipus feels threatened, he will always run to the steps and shout down..and he did tt quite a number of times hahas..
3rd version: same thing; scolding stuff but when Oedipus couldn't take it anymore, he removed his 1m high crown (!!) and took off his beard( !!!) ahhaas i wonder wad for...and ran down the steps and scold the prophet.
4th version: the opera version in Latin...very *goOsebumps*, then when the narrator came out, she spoke in Japanese???? lOlx..
We watched the 'poke fun' version called Oedipus with Vegetables.. dey had a potato for Oedipus, a tomato for his wife/mother & a broccoli for his father lOlx.. cOs Oedipus in the play had to blind himself (potato has many eyes) & the wife has to commit suicide (hence the 'blood' when the tomato splatters) lOlx..
Soci tutorial was oso rather fun ytd.. we were made to form a political party roOting for a certain kind of government/ society we want: democratic, pluralism, totalitarian, welfare state etc.. then the whole class was arguing like mad..ahas.
okie i dowan 2 type le.. have been typing non-stop for the past few days.. poOr fingers.

haiXxx.. i realise my lit essay is due next wed! zZZz...and philo on mon & js rxn paper on mon.. repeating myself over & over again..
i totally gave up on tempest.. i guess it's that $8.90 book tt i've bought..disrupts my moOd.. on the other hand,i've started reading oedipus the king.hmMM.. i lost faith in plays initially but as i tried to continue reading it, it'll be fun if we can act it out!lOlx..
sO in order not to bore myself to death/ find no meaning in the story, i read it out loud with expressions..shawn finds it funny. HEY! yea it is but it's a way to entertain myself & to get into the mood of the characters.. up till now, i find oedipus a pitiful king...
now i see why it's tragedy! it's 'written' almost on every page lOlx..
i guess i have to pick up speed, not only this.. i have to re-read my decartes 2 meditation before i can answer my philo qn..MORE reading!!! ahHHHh...
